Eric Smith

After spending my entire childhood into my late 20s playing the game of baseball, finishing at some of the highest levels, I moved onto coaching. During these past 5-6 years of coaching, I have gained very valuable experience, not only on the field, but outside the field in areas such as recruiting. Through my personal experiences, and the relationships I have built along the way, I have gained valuable knowledge in relaying the best approaches for our youth to develop and move forward in the game of baseball. I have developed these necessary relationships with numerous college coaches, in order to best inform families about the current layout of college baseball and its challenges. As these challenges continue to grow, we as coaches, need to constantly stay informed and educated on how to navigate, and strategically.

Playing Experience

– 3 year varsity starter at Joseph A. Foran High School in Milford, CT
– 2006 First Team All-State RHP
– Scholarship to Division 1 University of Rhode Island (2006-2009)
– Drafted as a Right-handed pitcher in the 2nd round of the 2009 MLB draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks (2009-2014)
– 40 man roster and big league camp invitee (2013)
– New Jersey Jackals (2014) Can-Am League
– Camden Riversharks (2015) Atlantic League
