Having been named the #1 Baseball Facility on Long Island for the third straight year by the Long Island Press, Batting 1.000 Baseball & Softball Academy is dedicated to providing top quality instruction and a professional workout environment for teams and the individual player. Conveniently located off of the Meadowbrook Parkway in Freeport, our climate controlled indoor training facility features professional indoor sports lighting, with six tunnels equipped with new baseball and softball Atec pitching machines along with pitching mounds.  Batting 1.000 supplies a comfortable training atmosphere for players of all ages and abilities throughout all seasons. Whether it be a little league team learning the basics, middle school players improving their fundamentals, high school players getting stronger and faster to showcase for our network of collegiate coaches or college and pro players sharpening their skills, we at Batting 1.000 are committed to helping our players achieve their goals.

Focusing on quality training, all of our instructors, who have played collegiate or professional baseball, have a natural passion for teaching the game.  Each instructor employs Batting 1.000’s specific training model of co-owner and head trainer Michael Ferriggi.  Having studied some of the top-level coach’s physical, mental and emotional philosophies and techniques, Batting 1.000 has devised a curriculum to help pass this information on to it’s players through fun, competitive and detailed drills and games.  With most of our instructors having a degree in Education combined with hours of training and observation, these role models are great teachers of baseball and life.  This is visible throughout every individual lesson, team workout, game, practice, clinic and camps.

Whether it be an individual hitting, pitching, catching or fielding lesson, a specific skill clinic, team winter training program, team in season tune-up training sessions, coaching in our travel organization’s games or practices, outdoor team practices, holiday camps or summer camps, our instructors approach each player with a professional mindset and a goal-oriented plan.  Quality over quantity is the motto in which we stand by.  While present in our facility or an an off-site event, you and your child will always feel like a valued member of our team.
