Biography

Where did PRD begin?

After nearly 15 years as a prominent trainer located in Monmouth County, Geroni formed PRD with a single team with players from 3 towns amongst a peninsula in NJ. Due to the scope of clientele that he had at the time in 2016 paired with success at the high school ranks in NJ, PRD quickly became a destination for players looking for high level development and collegiate opportunity. In 2018, Ghost was formed as a “guest” team that participated during a popular off time in the region for most clubs. Fast forward to 2024, PRD operates high level training facilities in Eatontown NJ; Phillipsburg, NJ; and High Point, NC know as Ghost Lab. On the team side, Ghost is the home to nearly 2,500 players across the country. PRD operates Ghost National, assists in operation with Artillery Scout and is a partner of Stacked Baseball which are all industry known brands on the national stage. Our success is linked to the great baseball people (coaches, players & parents) that have given us the opportunity to take part in their careers. As we continue to expand, our mission is to connect great baseball minds with an active passion to help kids in their region, and then to provide them amenities that we are fortunate enough to have access to in order to assist in their operation.

Playing/Coaching Career:

Following his playing career at FDU-Teaneck at the D1 level (Pat Geroni’s Baseball Cube), Pat pursued a career in accounting in New York City. After a few years of corporate America by day and instructing young hitters on the weekends, he went back to school to obtain a teaching degree which lead to a 17 year year career in PE/Health. Geroni began his high school coaching career where he served as the Head coach at Monroe Township (2011-2018 – Geroni’s Tenure at Monroe) posting a 104-60 record with the schools 1st County Title in program history. After departing Monroe for Ranney, the consensus was that it would take time to build the program which as of 2018 was 25-97 in their history. After an 11-9 1st year and some buzz, a wave of talent entered in 2019 helping Ranney School ascend as one of the top high school programs in NJ (The Ranney Baseball Rise). The program captured an NJSIAA State Title in 2022 followed by a Monmouth County Title in 2023, finishing both seasons as a top 5 team in NJ.
